Natural Quartz Countertops

Natural Quartz is the latest trend in stone surfaces.

Natural Quartz is nature’s 4th hardest mineral. It is combined with high performance polymers and transformed under extreme heat and pressure. The result is a material that combines all the depth and beauty of stone with a level of durability and impact resistance beyond that of granite or solid surface. Unlike ordinary quarried stone, Our Avanza line of natural quartz is nonporous and remains resistant to scratches and stains without the need for resealing or polishing.

This combination of beauty and strength makes quartz the natural choice for countertop applications.

Custom Granite Countertops

Granite surfaces have several unique advantages. They are known for their hardness and durabilty, as well as their vast array of beautiful, intricate, and natural looking colors.  Granite itself, is one of nature’s hardest materials (falling in right behind diamonds, which are the hardest substances on earth) which makes it a natural choice for your kitchen and bath needs. When comparing the durability of a solid surface material with granite, the chemical make-up of both becomes very important. While solid surfaces are mostly composed of acrylic resins and polyester plastics, granite contains both quartz and feldspar. According to the Measurement of Hardness (MOH) Scale for stone, a piece of hard plastic ranks a two, while feldspar and quartz rank a six and seven, respectively. Hardness is measured on a MOH Scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the hardest, and granite is a seven. A stainless steel knife blade is around a six, so you cannot scratch granite with it.”
